Why Pursue Graduate Training?
The pursuit of a graduate degree provides students with a strong
theoretical and practical education suitable for careers in leading
high technology industries including Intel, IBM, Microsoft, Industrial
Light and Magic (ILM), EMC, Carrier, Pratt & Whitney, UTRC and
Anderson Consulting to name a few. Our Ph.D. graduates are now
affiliated with research centers (e.g., NIST, IBM White Plains, NASA
Marshall Space Flight Center, Xerox Corporate Research & Technology
and United Technology Research Center (UTRC) to name a few) and at
more than 20 different academic institutions in the U.S. and
abroad. Our master's and Ph.D. programs offer considerable flexibility
to create a plan of study tailored to students' needs.
A brief sample of the research interests of our faculty include
Algorithms, Distributed and Parallel Computing, Security and
Cryptography, Bio-informatics and Computational Biology, Software
Engineering, Computer Graphics, Combinatorial Optimizations,
Artificial Intelligence, Networking and Systems.
Our graduate courses, seminars, colloquia and the various research
groups expose our student to ongoing and leading-edge research while
it creates many opportunities to get involved in high profile research
with leading experts.
