Abstract:
Quantum key distribution offers unconditionally secure keys for communicating parties. High-dimensional QKD improves the performance of QKD protocols significantly, which has been shown in many experimental demonstrations. However, HD-QKD protocols require more quantum resources to implement. Reducing such resource requirements to help with the implementations introduces complications in security analysis. In this thesis, we consider three such protocols, provide analytical security proofs, and compare our results against different other analyses.
