- The University of Connecticut American English Language Institute (UCAELI). UCAELI offers a variety of coursework focusing on English proficiency. Their evening English classes, typically running in four to eight week sessions, are particularly well-suited for graduate students. These courses come in two varieties, focusing either on pronunciation or oral communication & presentation.
- The University Writing Center. The Writing Center offers (free) tutoring, specifically focused on writing. They also offer a periodic graduate five-week seminar in academic writing.
